The Malaysian Borneo is the colloquial term for the East Malaysia located in the Northeastern portion of the island of Borneo this part of Malaysia is home to a rich diversity of culture, flora and fauna as well as the home to the many resorts-a travelers getaway for the bustling urban jungle.

The Malaysian Borneo consist of the states of Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan. The indigenous people are known as the Dayak and they adhere to Islam. Malaysian Borneo possesses one of the most diverse flora and fauna. It has a very dense rainforest, which is protected by the government from illegal logging thus it had maintained its density over the years. Malaysian Borneo id also home to wild animals endemic only in the region these includes the Tapir, the Bornean Elephant and many more.

Here are some of tourists’ magnets in Malaysian Borneo. The Turtle Beach and Golden Beach are parts of the Similajau National Park. Both beaches are turtle nesting grounds, within a larger nature reserve full of tropical wildlife, jungle streams, waterfalls and plenty of animal residents. The natural parks of Sarawak are the perfect place to enjoy an invigorating jungle trek, bird watching, or just relaxing on the many perfect beaches. Sipadan, on the east coast of Borneo, is one of the top dive spots in the world, by far the best in Malaysia. The island is an environmental reserve area so there are limits to the number of visitors per day. Diving in Sipadan is an amazing experience – you may see schools of greenback and hawks bill turtles, barracuda, manta rays, even hammerhead and whale sharks. The island is best for diving, rather than snorkeling or sunbathing, so make sure you plan in advance for a full-on diving experience.
