All About Singapore

Singapore is a wealthy city state in south-east Asia. Once a British colonial trading post, today it is a thriving global financial hub and described as one of Asia’s economic “tigers”. It is also renowned for its conservatism and strict local laws and the country prides itself on its stability and security.
Chinese account for more than 75% of Singapore’s multi-racial population, with Malays and Indians making up much of the remainder.
Densely-populated, most of its people live in public-housing tower blocks. Its trade-driven economy is heavily supported by foreign workers. In 2013, the government forecast that by 2030, immigrants will makeup more than 50% of the population.
The People’s Action Party has dominated politics since the country declared independence from Malaysia in 1965. Issues such as the rising cost of living, immigration and income inequality are major challenges facing the government.

My memories of this blog

This will be my first post for this blog, actually I had this blog for a long time now, but there were so many technical glitches that I faced before this blog started running again. I apologize for the people that were affected by the blackout times; events that were beyond my control and it’s so happened all post have been deleted. My memories for this blog was awesome I decided to set this up because I had this fascination to travel the world over.

First, my destinations were locally, I get to travel in my own country for about two years. I have traveled to Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, Manila, Cebu and Davao. It was fun all my ramblings as well as rants I wrote it here. Picture perfect moments with my family and friends were posted here. So, there were times that I had the chance to travel overseas first stop was Singapore. This tiny country located in Southeast Asia is like a paradise. Clean roads, magnificent skyscrapers and the garden inside the cities were amazing. Next stop was Sri Lanka, unlike Singapore, this country is laid-back. What fascinated me were the warm culture of the local population. It’s not as organized as Singapore, but definitely worth visiting especially the beaches. The next destination I had was the United Arab Emirates, a country located in the Persian Gulf. The country really amazed especially when I landed in Dubai, the city was outstanding skyscraper was the best of its kind with the towering Burj Khalifa. Going around the city I was amazed to see magnificent sites like the one they called Burj Al Arab, the Atlantis Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai Mall dancing fountains.

Anyway this is still the new beginning of this site I hope to give you more of the world has to offer. The one thing I learned from all of the events that happened in my virtual activities is to back up everything. I should also continue to learn more about the blogging so that I would be able to solve major issues if it will come again.
